Test Technician
Operate test stations and apply technical knowledge to identify and address errors in analog and digital circuitry production. Perform necessary measurements using applicable test equipment and make adjustments using soldering and re-work techniques.
RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot RF, analog and digital circuitry and drive resolution of problems; tunes, aligns components.
- Effectively communicate issues among team members and other support groups.
- Consistently follow established test strategy, troubleshoot processes and add value by providing suggestions towards continued process improvements.
- Set-up and run test stations according to procedures as required.
- Independently complete own throughput.
- Perform soldering and re-work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong background in electronics/mechanics.
- Certification or diploma as an electronic technician or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a troubleshooter role.
- Thorough knowledge of test equipment (i.e. DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzer, among others), troubleshooting processes, manufacturing documentation and schematics.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to interact with other internal groups and convey technical information.
- Good computer skills.
- Team player.
- Colour identification is a requirement of this role.
